Trans Lifeline is a groundbreaking crisis hotline staffed exclusively by transgender people, providing peer-to-peer support in North America (Canada and the U.S.). This non-profit centers the lived experience of transgender people and, although the line is primarily for those in a crisis, volunteers help callers with a wide range of issues including suicidality, self-harm, isolation, transition resources, and gender identity.

3 Ways You Can Help Stop Trans Suicide

1. Volunteer – Become a Trans Lifeline operator
If you are transgender and over 18, then you can get trained to answer trans people in crisis. We also love volunteers who can help with IT, legal advice, or fundraising. Sign up to be a volunteer now!
